Practice Management Director
As Pioneer’s Practice Management Director, Karen has two goals: The first is to help clients achieve their financial goals through understanding and overcoming their behaviors and investing biases. The second is to help financial professionals strategize and plan for their business success.
Karen is an accomplished speaker with over ten years of industry experience and extensive knowledge of the intricacies of retirement planning. In addition to her role as Practice Management Director, she is also head of Pioneer’s CE department and lead author for Pioneer’s proprietary CE and client presentations on topics such Social Security, The Owner Only 401(k) Marketplace, and The Impact of Emotions on Investor Behavior.
Prior to joining Pioneer, Karen was a Senior Analyst for Retirement Markets at Cerulli Associates. While there, she analyzed the trends and forces shaping the Defined Contribution, Defined Benefit, IRA and retirement income markets. She was also lead author for their annual reports that analyzed and segmented the U.S. retirement landscape.
Karen was first introduced to the mutual fund industry during a college study abroad internship at a regional bank in Germany. There she was fascinated by the market movements and the impact it had on individual client accounts. She graduated with a double major in International Business and German from Gustavus Adolphus College, a small liberal arts college in Minnesota.
