Senior Vice President – National Servicing Organization

Jeffery R. Hayward is Fannie Mae's Senior Vice President of the National Servicing Organization. He is responsible for the company’s relationships with mortgage servicers and the retained attorney network, with a focus on curtailing credit losses. Hayward has been in this position since April 2010. Previously, Hayward was Senior Vice President for Community Lending, responsible for five business areas providing debt and equity financing to help increase and preserve the nation’s supply of affordable rental and for-sale housing. He also managed the company’s overall relationship with the Housing Finance Agencies and worked closely with the National Council of State Housing Agencies and its members. Additionally, Hayward managed Fannie Mae’s Community Development staff across the country, that are responsible for bringing capital to underserved communities, creating housing for the homeless, investing in rural and Native American communities, and rebuilding along the Gulf Coast. Since joining Fannie Mae in 1987, Hayward has served as the company's Senior Mortgage-Backed Securities Negotiator; Director of Marketing; Director of Quality Control; Vice President of Single-Family Risk Management in Washington, DC; Vice President of Single-Family Operations in the Northeastern Regional Office; Vice President for Single-Family Mortgage Business; and Senior Vice President for Single-Family National Business Center. Earlier in his career, Hayward was Vice President of Production at Star States Mortgage Corporation and Assistant Vice President of Residential Lending at Germantown Savings Bank.Hayward has a bachelor of science in business management from Widener University.
