Mary Kay Schneider

Executive Vice President, Credit Executive, Central Credit

Mary Kay was named Credit Executive, Central Credit in December, 2008 in preparation for the National City integration into PNC. As Credit Executive, she recently completed building the capabilities in Cleveland and Indianapolis to handle all new commercial loan adjudication and portfolio management for about ½ of PNC’s commercial loans in numerous business lines that have exposure of $3MM or less, as the rest of the portfolio is served by another site under her counterpart’s direction. She also has responsibility for PNC’s delivery of government sponsored lending across the entire geography. For the last several years, Mary Kay served as Chair of the Business Banking Risk Management Committee, which served as a model for PNC’s newly created Channel 1 Risk Management Committee, which is charged with monitoring and managing all aspects of credit risk within Channel 1.Previously she was Chief Credit Officer and Director, Business Banking Credit Services, positions she held since April, 2005. Prior to that, Mary Kay was State Sales Executive, Business Banking, and led a sales force of over 130 professionals located in Ohio and Michigan, working closely with small business owners, their families and their employees to increase their financial strength. In the past, Mary Kay has been heavily involved in strategic planning for the business line, enabling the bank to deliver the right services, competitively and in a timely and convenient manner for small business owners. She has been a frequent speaker on both sales and credit topics at industry conferences. She joined National City in June, 1985 as a branch management trainee. She held successive positions in Branch Management, Commercial Lending, Regional Branch Administration, Wealth Management and Small Business Banking. She completed National City’s Executive Development Program in 2002.
