Michal is a globally recognized executive leader in area of digital financial services and digital transformation.At Nordea he leads efforts of Digital Banking group aimed at creating modern digital experiences across Nordea’s mobile and online channels for its 10.5 million of household and corporate segment customers. The 400+ team unifies areas and professions needed to vision, plan, develop, launch, communicate, commercialize and operate all digital touch-points across the Nordics.Prior to Nordea Michal was Managing Director for Products, Marketing & Digital at mBank, #3 bank in Poland with 4.4 million customers, where he won 14 global innovation awards in 2013-2015, including Efma Most Disruptive Innovation, Celent Model Bank and Finovate Best of Show as well as received strong endorsements from Forrester Research, TechCrunch, Financial Times and Wall Street Journal.In his track record Michal successfully built and marketed financial innovations across a 11 key areas including next generation user interfaces, mobility, mobile payments, video banking, real time CRM and analytics, payments marketing, digital insurance, PFM and gamification. These improvements built through new collaboration model between business, IT and design have been closely integrated with bank branch network, contact center, marketing campaigns and brand building.Prior to mBank Michal had worked in the US at Microsoft’s headquarters in Redmond in Corporate Strategy Group and Worldwide Licensing and Pricing Division as well as eBay’s Corporate Strategy Team in San Jose. He also worked at The Boston Consulting Group advising executives of leading banks and financial institutions.He holds MBA from Harvard Business School, specializing in technology and innovation management, and MA in Finance and Banking from Warsaw School of Economics.
