The James Polk Stone Community Bank is a $200 million, 9 branch (8 physical plus the online branch) institution based in southeastern New Mexico.� Founded in 1906, it is the oldest family owned bank in the state.�� The grandsons of the founder (J.P. Stone) are the Chairman of the Board and President, and two of his great-grandchildren are Executive Vice Presidents.Richard is a Director, Senior Vice President and the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the Bank. He has 23 years experience in Information Technology Management.� Prior to banking, Richard worked for Eastern New Mexico University for 10 years in its Computer Services Division and taught for the university as an Instructor of Computer Information Systems (CIS).�Richard is a graduate of Eastern New Mexico University and the Western States School of Banking.Richard is actively involved the Independent Community Bankers Association of New Mexico and the Independent Community Bankers of America.� He is a Past Chairman for the Western States School of Banking, and currently chairs the Education Committee.�
