Asset Protection by Jay Atkinson and Chris Riser.
I think Jay used to post here.

One of the country's best is "Asset Protection" a two volume set authored by Peter Spero. It's published through Warren Gorham Lamont and distributed by the RIA Group of companies.
That said, do not engage in any kind of asset protection work without first hiring competent counsel, it's highly specialized, fraught with danger and often attracts a consumer that is by nature litigious.

If it is 2 volumes, its too big for me. I don't want to know that much.
I read "Asset Protection for Physicians and High-Risk Business Owners" by Robert Mintz. I though it was good.

I have both Spero's 2-volume treatise and Adkisson & Riser's "Asset Protection". I recommend the former to attorneys who are actively engaged in asset protection work (or to non-attorneys who, like me, are so warped that they actually find this stuff to be "fun") and the latter to any advisor who ever, at any time, addresses the issues of "asset protection".

I ordered both books.
Related topic: I spoke to a couple of local estate planning attorneys, and they said that there are very few people who use advanced estate planning techniques. They said people do not like techniques which alienate their assets. Credit Shelter Trust (A-B trust) is about as exotic as they get.
