Creating a study schedule for CFP Exam
Hello everyone,
My name is Keith and I am currently preparing for the CFP exam in November. I plan on starting my studies the first week of February and wanted to know if anyone has come across an effective spreadsheet to track progress, list areas of concern, or the like. I feel like I may have to create my own, any suggestions?

Who is providing your curriculum? College for FP? American College? Other? I went with American College which consists of individual courses and texts the student can take in any order. I started with my weakest links and moved toward my knowledge base one course at a time - but not all curruculi is so flexible.

Well Bradley I took the CFP courses via Kaplan and Fordham University in 2009. I did not pass the exam but feel it had alot to do with me not being in the industry at the time. I am now reading the Kaplan workbooks and will take the Zahn review once it opens up for November

Re: Creating a study schedule for CFP Exam
Congrats!! Educational coursework is done!! This was a looonnnnggg time ago but, I recall buying a "test-prep" course with sample exams from the College of FP after I completed my required coursework with American College. You've got plenty of time to prepare. The Zahn review will get you there! Most who fail fall in one of three camps: test taking brain freeze; not taking the difficulty level seriously enough the first time; and those who aren't equipped with adequate brain cells. Let knowing what you don't know drive your final studies (you now have a far better idea of what you don't know). You'll do fine. Best of luck. Welcome.
