Baird has bolstered its presence in the Southeast with the addition of two former Wells Fargo advisors who will open a new office in Merritt Island, Fla.

The Milwaukee-based firm has brought on Jim Caprara and Chris Hain of The Caprara & Hain Financial Group to help lead the opening of the office, which will operate in conjunction with an existing Baird office in Sarasota, Fla.

The two are legacy A.G. Edwards advisors who moved to Wachovia and then Wells Fargo through a series of mergers in 2007 and 2008, respectively.

Jim Caprara

Caprara joins as director and started his career in 1997. Hain began in 2003.

“I am very pleased to welcome Jim and Chris, both of whom are top financial advisors, to Baird. Their reputation for providing high-quality financial advice and service to their clients makes them a valuable addition,” John Mabee, vice chairman of Baird’s Private Wealth Management group, said in a statement. “Additionally, we are very excited to expand our existing footprint in the Florida region.”

Chris Hain

The firm recently brought on another former Wells Fargo advisor, Peter Miller, to help manage a new office in the Northeast.

Overall, the firm has added nearly 275 financial advisors and branch managers around the country since 2009 and has approximately 700 advisors.
