The firm, which now has a total of 95 advisors, has recently brought on a number of veteran financial services professionals who were with AG Edwards, the brokerage of Benjamin Edwards great-great grandfather, which was rolled up into Wachovia and then Wells Fargo in 2008. It also recently added Thomas Morrison, a 30-year veteran who had his own financial planning practice in Illinois.
"Our bringing aboard nine financial advisors and eight of their associates is a real milestone for us, as it represents our largest intake of branch personnel in a 10-day period," said Benjamin F. Edwards IV, founder, chairman, and CEO of the St. Louis-based brokerage firm.
Twenty-year veteran Peter Tampellini comes on board as branch manager at the office. He was formerly a branch manager with AG Edwards and Wells Fargo. Registered Financial Associate Donna Snow, who was with AG Edwards, will also be joining him.
Having been in the securities industry for 25 years, Robert Rothhouse will be managing director - investments at the new office. His partner, Teresa Zipf, will be joining him. She joined AG Edwards in 2005, according to regulatory filings, and comes from Wells Fargo. They are joined by registered financial associate Cecelia Jiampetti.
Former industry veteran and military veteran Brian McRory will be vice president - investments and began his career in 1986 with AG Edwards, according to FINRA records.
The office is Benjamin Edwards' second in New Jersey. The firm does not disclose revenue or AUM numbers for its advisors.
