Short has 30 years of leadership experience in the wealth management field, according to the bank. Before joining Huntington, Short served for five years as the CEO of UnionBanc Investment Services, Inc., a subsidiary of Union Bank of California. In that role, he had overall responsibility for both institutional and retail brokerage operations as well as Union Bank’s Retirement Solutions Group. He also served as CEO of U.S. Bancorp Investment Services Inc., U.S. Bancorp Insurance Services, and as executive vice president of US Bank. He began his banking career in 1982 in the trust division at Fifth Third Bank, where he worked for 11 years.
