The talent war heats up this winter with Bank of America Merrill Lynch luring in eight advisors from regional and wirehouse competitors.

Over the past few weeks advisors from Credit Suisse, RBC Wealth Management and Morgan Stanley have moved over to Merrill Lynch bringing a combined total of $919.5 million in assets at $6.4 million in production.

“These hires are consistent with our strategy to attract the industry’s best talent for our clients, and to size our advisor population to meet market opportunity,” a Merrill Lynch spokesperson said.

In order of production, Craig Weinstein joins from Credit Suisse First Boston where he managed $174.2 million in assets and produced $1.57 million. Weinstein began his career in 2000 at UBS in Stamford, Conn., and now operates out of Dallas, Texas.

Myatt began at Dean Witter in 1997 and moved to RBC in 2005. Jackson had been at RBC for all four years of her career.

Four advisors join Merrill Lynch from Morgan Stanley. David Vallie, a 26-year industry veteran, joins in Grand Blanc, Mich., and managed $159.6 million in assets with a production of $1.27 million.
