Morgan Stanley Wealth Management has snapped up five financial advisors from UBS who previously managed $750 million in client assets.

Financial advisor Kevin Cooper joined Morgan Stanley’s Boca Raton, Fla., office from UBS on Jan. 11, according to his public registration records with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. Cooper spent eight years at UBS, following 10 years at Merrill Lynch, FINRA records show. He most recently had $400 million in client assets under management and $1.6 million in commissions and fees. He reports to Morgan Stanley complex manager Bert White.

Also joining Morgan Stanley in Shrewsbury, N.J., is four-member UBS financial advisor team the Ryan Group. The team includes John Ryan, David Nelson, James Gallagher and Philip Martinho. Together, they previously oversaw $350 million in client assets and had $2.84 million in production.

The team, which reports to Morgan Stanley branch manager Todd Sacks, has been registered with the firm since Jan. 25, according to FINRA registration records. All four members of the team served at UBS for about eight years, after having all served at Citigroup.
