Morgan Stanley has hired six advisors from Merrill Lynch with a combined $389 million of assets under management.

In Ithaca, N.Y., the team of Richard Prybyl, Richard Farr and Steve Headrick join Morgan Stanley with four decades of total experience. The team previously managed $248 million in assets and brought in $1.76 million in production. They will report to Dean Wallace, central-eastern N.Y. complex manager.

According to public records with the financial industry regulatory authority, Prybyl began his career almost three decades ago at Merrill Lynch in 1986. Farr had 11 years of experience, all at Merrill Lynch, and Steve Headrick has been at Merrill for two years.

The team of Nancy Buttweiler, Kristopher Schultz and David Peterson joined Morgan Stanley Wealth Management's St. Paul, Minn., office and previously managed $141 million with a combined production of $1.268 million.

Buttweiler had spent all of her 32-year career at Merrill Lynch before moving. Schultz began his career with Merrill in 2000, and Peterson began ten years ago at Merrill Lynch.

The three will report to branch manager Michael Junker.

The moves come a little over a week after Morgan Stanley reported that seven other advisors from Merrill Lynch with a total of $698 million had joined the firm.
