The team includes Nikesh Kadakia, Joseph Pastore and Kirk Snyder, who moved to Morgan Stanley in El Segundo, Calif., on Feb. 15, according to their public registration records with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.
Kadakia had been registered with Merrill Lynch for about 13 years, FINRA registration records show, while Pastore had been with the firm for more than 10 years and Snyder served at Merrill Lynch for about three years. The team reports to branch manager David Fahey.
The hires come as Morgan Stanley also turned to competitor firms J.P. Morgan Securities and Wells Fargo for four other advisor hires disclosed earlier this month.
That includes three member team operating under the name Sheresky/Samsen Group—including advisors Jeffrey Sheresky, Steven Sheresky and Jeffrey Samsen—that joined the firm from J.P. Morgan Securities in midtown Manhattan. Together, they most recently oversaw $290 million in client assets. They report to complex manager Ben Firestein.
In addition, financial advisor Calvin Mason joined the firm in Pueblo, Colo., from Wells Fargo. Mason most recently had $144 million in client assets under management and $1.43 million in fees and commissions.
