RBC's Wealth Management unit, led by group head George Lewis, is currently in the middle of expanding its wealth management division with a focus on building its high net worth and ultra-high net worth client base in markets in Latin America and Europe. In addition to a number of new hires and a reshuffling of its leadership in Europe, Lewis recently announced that the firm plans to double its current number of relationship managers there as well.
"The growth of our Americas team is a direct response to increasing appetite we're seeing from Latin American and US-linked high net worth clients looking for a safe and secure institution to manage their assets out of London. Success in such a vast and distinct region requires a thorough working knowledge of local nuances," Mike Moodie, head of RBC Wealth Management-UK said. "Shehreen and Jaime bring with them a wealth of experience in understanding and addressing these needs and will be a valuable addition to our growing team."
Quarryum comes from HSBC Private Bank where she served as associate director on the international team with a focus on managing relationships with clients linked to North America.
Also an industry veteran, Zuloaga has over 13 years of experience and was previously at Barclays where he held the title of Business Strategy Director in the ultra-high net worth and family offices unit. Before that, Zuloaga was head of the Latin America desk at Citigroup.
The two will report to Martin Heale, head of Americas.
