Summit Brokerage Services expanded its team of advisors adding seven advisors over the last five months, the Florida-based company announced Tuesday.

All the new team members are independent advisors and are based nationally from Idaho to New York. They bring with them more than ten years of experience.

Most of them come from larger firms and are joining Summit because they want a more personalized touch, said Marshall Leeds, CEO & President, Summit Brokerage Services. “Summit will benefit from the experience they bring and the clients that they already have,” Leeds added.

James Baltzersen, previously affiliated with Edward Jones, and Richard Leist are among the seven who joined Summit. Leist was with Oppenheimer where he managed over $25 million in client assets. Baltzersen has experience in managing client assets over $50 million.

Two advisors, who previously working for Raymond James, also joined Summit. Susan Pearlman and Gregory Kennedy have managed $60 million in client assets while at Raymond James.

Deborah Summers, previously affiliated with Kovack Securities joined Summit with an experience of managing $20 million in client assets.

The company also recruited Don Silberman and James Rockwell. Silberman, who comes from Allstate Financial, has managed client assets worth $25 million. Rockwell, previously affiliated with E.K.Riley Investments has experience of managing over $25 million of client assets.
