An American Century Exec Takes to FiPath

Investment education company FiPath has hired Michael Turgeon as managing director of Advisor Services. His primary responsibility will be launching enterprise sales and marketing initiatives for the company’s marketing tool for financial advisors, FiPath for Advisors.

Turgeon hails from American Century Investments, serving in a variety of roles including vice president, senior wealth consultant and vice president, business development consultant. While at American Century, Turgeon helped expand the company’s mutual fund and retirement plan business amongst brokerage firms. Before that, he was Senior Vice President and national sales manager, Strategic Markets, for investment advisor Phoenix Investment Partners, Ltd.

A spokesperson told Money Management Executive that the FiPath “brought Michael on board because we recognized a huge need for an outsourced online marketing solution for financial organizations to help support their financial advisors with client acquisition and lead generation.”

FiPath markets itself as an “independent, online consumer destination focused on retirement,” providing retirement planning information to the general public.

Tommy Fernandez writes for Money Management Executive.
