Bank of America Merrill Lynch has named Andrea Orcel president of emerging markets ex-Asia, according to an internal memo obtained by IDD. Orcel will continue on in his role as executive chairman of global banking and markets.
“Andrea's senior leadership, extensive global management experience and client relationships will enable us to provide additional focus in these very important markets. Together with Brian Brille, president of Asia Pacific, and the rest of the leadership team, Andrea will be instrumental in building out our strategy for emerging markets globally,” Tom Montag, president of global banking and markets, and Sallie Krawcheck, president of global wealth and investment management, wrote in the memo to staff.
Jonathan Moulds continues in his role as president of Europe and Canada.
