BAM Alliance Adds Financial Author

The BAM Alliance, composed of more than 140 independent wealth management firms across the U.S., has added a nationally-known financial author and blogger to its team.

BAM, whose wealth management platform is offered through St. Louis-based Buckingham Asset Management, announced Thursday that Tim Mauer, author of The Financial Crossroads and The Ultimate Financial Plan, has joined the group as its director of personal finance. Maurer will also serve clients as a wealth advisor with Buckingham.

A financial blogger for Forbes.com and CNBC.com, Maurer joins BAM's list of investment industry experts that includes artist and writer Carl Richards of the New York Times, Larry Swedroe of CBS News and Dan Solin of the Huffington Post.

Mauer previously served as director of financial planning and communications for The Financial Consulate, a planning firm in Baltimore.
