U.S. Bank's UHNW Unit Hires Managing Director of Investments

Ascent Private Capital Management, U.S. Bank's ultrahigh-net-worth wealth management unit, has hired a managing director of investments in Minneapolis.

Mark Evans will provide investment advice to Ascent clients and will be responsible for understanding the factors that drive economic and capital-market trends and performance to help clients take advantage of appropriate investment opportunities and mitigate risk, the bank announced on Tuesday.

Evans is the second managing director of investments to join the Minneapolis team.  In addition, the team includes two managing directors of client advisory, a managing director of client experience, a managing director of private banking, a managing director of wealth strategy and a managing director of family office advisory.

Evans joins Ascent from Slocum, a provider of investment advice and research to institutions, where he was a principal. Prior to that, he was a manager at Deloitte, where his client duties included planning, supervision, review, and reporting for the audit, business valuation and dispute consulting units of the firm. Evans has more than 19 years of leadership experience in the financial services industry, according to U.S. Bank.

"Mark brings a wealth of experience and is a strong addition to Ascent's investment team. We are thrilled to add such a strategic thinker to our capabilities," Jose Peris, regional managing director of Ascent in Minneapolis, said in a statement.
