Benjamin Edwards Opens Office, Adds 8 Advisors

Benjamin Edwards is expanding its operations, opening a new office in upstate New York and adding eight advisors in four locations, pulling talent from RBC Wealth Management and Wells Fargo Advisors.

The Davies Investment Group, previously with RBC Wealth Management, will form Edwards’ new office in Corning, N.Y.  This marks the second office the five-year-old company has opened in New York, and is the latest in a string of expansions. Benjamin Edwards opened 15 offices last year, and currently has 41 offices in 21 states. This is up from 36 offices with around 120 advisors in 20 states in October.

David Davies, managing director of the Davies Investment Group, has four decades of experience in the industry. Also joining the new Corning office are Jill Miller and Kristen Ketchum. Miller has worked with Davies for 14 years and Ketchum for 11 years.

Joan Levy Monder is joining Benjamin Edwards’ office in White Plains, N.Y. as a financial consultant. Monder previously worked for Wells Fargo Advisors.

Tom Bedor, CFP, and Lauren Bedor are also moving to Benjamin Edwards from Wells Fargo. The Bedors, father and daughter, are joining the firm’s office in Melbourne, Fla., where Tom Bedor will become a branch manager and senior vice president and Lauren Bedor will be a financial consultant.

The firm is also adding two more former Wells Fargo advisors, Mark Barczuk and David Moreno, to its Denver office. Moreno, who will be senior vice president, began his career as a trader in 1987.
