BNY Mellon’s wealth management business has created a family wealth advisor team to serve the complex needs of ultra-wealthy clients.

The firm appointed managing director Kevin Rogers to be a family wealth advisor, part of a specialty team headed by Ridgeway Powell. Rogers joined BNY Mellon in 1999, and has more than 21 years of experience in financial services. Previously, he was a vice president in the investment advisory group at Bank of New York. He was also a senior portfolio manager, according to the company.

Also, BNY Mellon promoted Gregory Simpson to family wealth advisor. Simpson had been a portfolio management team leader. Before his promotion, Simpson was a vice president and regional manager for Western Pennsylvania at Sterling Ltd., a unit of National City Corp.
