BNY Mellon Wealth Management announced it has promoted James Hillman to managing director of portfolio management for the Southern California region.
He was a team leader and senior director of portfolio management for Bank of New York Mellon Corp.'s Boston unit. Before being hired in 2000, he ran TD Banknorth's trust and investment units in several New England markets.
Hillman will oversee client service teams in Los Angeles and Newport Beach, and will help set wealth strategies and manage investment portfolios for high-net-worth clients.
The promotion was announced Wednesday.
