Capital Guardian Hires Chaisson as Wealth President

Capital Guardian, a boutique wealth manager based in Charlotte, N.C., hired Scott Chaisson as its president of wealth management.

He joins Capital with 19 years of wealth management experience and has worked at SmithBarney, Bank of America and Fidelity Investments.

Before joining Capital, Chaisson was a regional managing director for Rehmann Financial. As president of wealth management, he will focus on growing Capital's wealth management sector, and will work to build and manage the company's captive advisor offices. As Capital moves to enter new markets, the company said in a press release Tuesday that Chaisson hopes to focus on adding talented financial advisors looking to grow their business.

"Throughout his career, Scott has demonstrated the ability to successfully build and oversee global wealth management practices. We think Scott's experience and leadership will strongly support Capital Guardian's continued success," Capital Guardian CEO Alan Boyer said.

Chaisson is a West Point graduate and earned his MBA from DePaul University.
