Credit Suisse Hires ETF Chief

Credit Suisse hired Dan Draper as a London-based managing director and head of exchange-traded funds.

He will start in the spring and will report to Oliver Schupp, head of beta strategies in Credit Suisse’s asset management division and co-head of the firm’s ETF steering committee.

Draper will join the Swiss bank from Société Générale’s Lyxor Asset Management subsidiary, where he was a managing director and global head of ETFs. Earlier in his career, he was director of business development for the U.K. and Ireland at Barclays Global Investors’ iShares division.

Last year, Credit Suisse undertook an effort to expand its ETF business in Europe, launching 16 ETFs in Switzerland as well as 16 in Germany and 17 in Italy.
