Disappointing Jobs Data Pushes Stocks Lower

The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 124.20 points Friday to close at 12,772.47 while the Nasdaq and S&P 500 lopped off 38.79 points and 12.90 points, respectively.

In economic news, the Labor Department reported that non-farm payrolls increased by only 80,000 jobs in June, less than the 90,000 jobs most economists had anticipated, leaving the nation’s unemployment rate unchanged at 8.2%.
