Fidelity Has a Few Big Ideas

Fidelity Investments has launched an initiative dubbed “Thinking Big,” for publicly promoting the research of its investment analysts and experts. The firm will launch the initiative in conjunction with its sponsorship of the 2012 TED conference, an annual event that brings together global thought leaders.

The firm will use a variety of technical platforms, including digital video, social media, interactive web, elements as well as print, to present analyses conducted by its research staff. Fidelity will also maintain a website for investors and an additional site for financial advisors.

Presentations will be made on a number of themes, with the inaugural topic on water economics, featuring the research of equity analyst Anna Davydova, who covers the environmental sector.

“At Fidelity, we believe in-depth, fundamental research at the company level can help determine the best investment opportunities,” stated Chris Bartel, senior vice present, Global Equity Research, Fidelity’s Equity Group. “Maintaining a global research staff also provides a comprehensive point-of-view on the key themes and ongoing dynamics within each asset class.”

Tommy Fernandez writes for Money Management Executive.
