Global X Preps Value, Activist ETFs

Global X Funds has filed paperwork with the Securities and Exchange Commission for two more ETFs employing the same investment strategy as its GURU ETF, which debuted this week.

The firm is looking to launch the Global X Value Guru Holdings Index ETF and the Global X Activist Investor Holdings Index ETF within the next several months.

“For value investors, turnover is less of a concern because these investments tend to be longer buy-and-hold,” Bruno del Ama, chief executive officer of Global X, told Money Management Exeuctive. “So instead of focusing on the larger holdings, it focuses on the largest new positions. And the activist fund is similar to that looking at the newer positions that they’re building.

The Value Guru fund sports a management fee of 65 basis points and the Activist fund has a management fee of 75 bps.
