Advisors with $300M Jump from Morgan to Merrill

A $300 million team has jumped from Morgan Stanley to Merrill Lynch, the firm said.

Advisors Lee Rosen and Elana Gofman made the move with client associate Karen Levy in recent weeks, according to a Merrill spokeswoman.

Operating as the Rosen Team, the trio had an annual production of $2.6 million before switching firms, the spokeswoman said. The team is based in Mellville, N.Y., which is located on Long Island, and is joining a complex there under the direction of David Hogan, market executive. The team's focus is high-net-worth individuals and small companies.

Rosen's career began at E.F. Hutton in 1980, and included stops at Lehman Brothers and Citigroup before he started at Morgan in June, 2009, according to FINRA BrokerCheck records.

Gofman entered the industry when she joined AllianceBernstein in 2007, according to BrokerCheck. She had been with Morgan since 2010. Levy began with Citigroup in 2001, and joined in Morgan in 2007.
