BNY Mellon Wealth Management has added a new senior officer to the Mid-Atlantic mortgage banking group. David Duffy joined the group as a sales director and will be responsible for the firms residential mortgage business in the Mid-Atlantic region, focusing primarily on Philadelphia and Washington, D.C., the wealth manager announced Tuesday.
Duffy is based in Philadelphia and reports to Erin Gorman, managing director for national mortgage sales and private banking in the Northeast region.
Duffy joins BNY Mellon from PHH Mortgage/UBS Mortgage Banking, where he served as a mortgage sales consultant for more than two years and provided lending services nationally. Prior to that, he was a residential loan agent with GMAC Mortgage Direct Lending in Fort Washington, Pa. He also owned and operated his own mortgage firm in Atlanta for more than nine years. All told, he has more than 23 years of experience in the mortgage banking industry, according to BNY Mellon.
