Insurance Licensing Renewal Notifications Possible Via Facebook, Mobile Phone

PCRM, a Web-based compliance management system for insurance carriers and agencies/brokers from Rhoads Online, is designed to offer insurance licensing renewal alerts via Facebook and all mobile phone service providers.

The provider of automated compliance systems and continuing education services for the insurance industry recognized the mobile phone, with its growing array of features, as the producer’s de facto standard for business communications and acknowledged today that thousands of producers use social media to build relationships and sell policies. As a result, the company enabled Facebook and mobile phones to be extensions of PCRM’s email-based alert function.

The new notification services are available now on PCRM Carrier and PCRM Broker versions of the system. Producers need to let their managers or licensing team “friend” them so renewal alerts can be posted to their Facebook accounts. Similarly, by supplying their mobile phone numbers, the notifications can be sent as text messages. Email alerts issued by the PCRM system continue as a way to keep producers aware of the status of their licenses.

“Insurance agents and their managers operate in an online, on-the-go world,” said Steven Milton, Rhoads Online’s SVP, Sales. “To help make dealing with the complexities of professional compliance easier, more certain and less costly, we’ve added notification services that fit in with their work and life styles.”
