IRI Conference Canceled Due to Winter Storm Saturn

The Insured Retirement Institute announced Wednesday that the IRI Marketing Summit was canceled due to winter storm Saturn.

The conference, scheduled to run from Wednesday through Friday, was expected to feature thought leaders and executives from around the retirement and wealth management communities.

The organizers were forced to cancel the event after 2,100  flights were canceled nationally over the past two days as a result of winter storm Saturn. Organizers said in a press release that "he safety and security of our members and attendees is our utmost priority."

Registrants will receive a credit toward a future IRI conference of their choice, including IRI's annual meeting and the IRI Marketing Summit 2014.

For attendees that already reached Washington, D.C., for the event, the IRI plans to ""provide an alternate conference experience."
