Janney Brings in Two Advisors With $91.6 Million

David Seigerman, 42, joins the firm from Morgan Stanley, where he previously managed $67.8 million in client assets, and had $860,000 in production. A 14-year industry veteran, he will serve as first vice president of investments in Janney’s Bedminster, N.J. office.

Prior to his four years at Morgan Stanley, Seigerman was at Citigroup from 2006 until 2009, when the firm transferred its business to Morgan Stanley. Prior to that, he worked with Morgan Stanley Dean Witter for seven years.

“David’s hiring is yet another example that experienced and successful advisors look to Janney as a top destination in the industry,” Larry Ennis, branch manager of the Bedminster office, said in a statement. “The depth and breadth of knowledge and insight he brings to our team will be instrumental as we continue to focus on growth within the region and provide clients superior service in convenient locations.”

Also joining Janney is Steven Sapirstein, who will operate in the Boca Raton, Fla. office as vice president and assistant branch manager. A 20-year industry veteran, he brings $23.8 million in client assets from Raymond James to the firm. He will report to regional manager Michael Levin.

Sapirstein began his financial services career in 1990 at Merrill Lynch, and then worked with Painewebber from 1993 to 1999. After leaving Painewebber, he joined Citigroup, and then worked with Morgan Stanley before moving to Raymond James.

“Like many other professionals in the industry, Steven found the firm to be his destination of choice because of our open architecture and client-centric philosophy,” says Levin. “We look forward to welcoming Steven to our team and anticipate that his wealth of experience and fresh perspective will be instrumental as our regional footprint continues to grow.”
