Jefferies Adds To U.S. Equity, Global Fixed Income Teams

Jefferies & Co. said Monday it hired Andrew M. Barish as a managing director and senior equity research analyst covering restaurant companies. Barish has over 20 years of industry experience, most recently at Cowen & Co., where he was a managing director for cosumer investment banking.

He will be based in Jefferies' San Francisco office.

With the addition of Barish, Jeffrey D. Farmer, who currently covers the restaurant sector, will transition to cover food and beverages.

Jefferies also named Marie-Laure Savelli-Timsit as a managing director and head of rates sales France and Maxim-Alexandre Simon as a vice president for rates sales in a further expansion of the firm’s global fixed income group.

Both join from ING Bank. 

Savelli-Timsit will be responsible for establishing and directing Jefferies’ French rates business which is based in Paris.

Jefferies also said the Austrian Federal Financing Agency had appointed the firm as a member of the Auction Panel for Republic of Austria Government Bonds.
