Industry veteran John Sullivan is joining Dynasty Financial Services as senior vice president, RIA and Transition Services.

Sullivan joins Dynasty with more than 20 years of industry experience, spending the majority of his career at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney/Citigroup. While there, he held many high-net-worth management roles.

“Having worked with John for over a decade in the past at Citi/Smith Barney, I am delighted to welcome John to Dynasty Financial Partners. He brings a depth of ultra-high net worth client and product wealth management experience to our Network Advisors,” said Shirl Penney, President and CEO of Dynasty Financial Partners.

Prior to joining Dynasty, Sullivan was divisional director of Private Wealth Management in the Midwest where he worked with clients and prospective clients with $50MM or more in investable assets. According to Sullivan, his experience in working in different wealth management platforms over his career has made him aware of the need to offer comprehensive wealth management solutions on an “open, objective platform.”

“It is clear that the Dynasty platform represents the future of wealth management. I am excited to join Dynasty as it continues to grow its business while driving positive change in the industry,” Sullivan said.

The University of Maryland graduate holds Series 7, 24, 63 and 65 licenses. Sullivan will be based in Chicago and New York, focusing on transitions of new advisor teams as well as the development of existing network firms.

Kylie Hennagin writes for Financial Planning.
