Long-Term Funds Take in $1.04 Billion in Latest Week

Long-term mutual fund inflows for the week ended Dec. 1 totaled $1.04 billion, the Investment Company Institute said. This reverses outflows in the previous two weeks.

Equity funds had inflows of $47 million, with $1.85 billion going into foreign stock funds and $1.8 billion leaving U.S. equity funds.

Investors poured $489 million into bond funds, with $549 million allocated to taxable funds and redemptions of $61 million from municipal funds.

Hybrid funds took in $508 million, according to the ICI, and money market funds reaped $32.53 billion, according to iMoneyNet. Money market fund assets now total $2.818 trillion.
