Merrill Lynch Lures Credit Suisse Advisor with $1B in Assets

Merrill Lynch Wealth Management has scored a new private wealth advisor who previously managed more than $1 billion in client assets at Credit Suisse.

Vishal Bakshi moved to Merrill Lynch’s Private Banking and Investments Group in New York on May 24 following 12 years at Credit Suisse. Prior to that, Bakshi, who is 40, served as a business development manager at Bertelsmann Media Group.

Bakshi and his team focus on a client base that includes entrepreneurs, and board members and CEOs of Fortune 500 companies. Clients also include families of members of the Forbes 400 list, according to the firm. Merrill Lynch’s Private Banking and Investment Group targets ultra-high net worth clients.

Also making the move to Merrill Lynch with Bakshi are team members Jayne Finst, who serves as vice president; David Greene, financial analyst; and Alex Plum, client associate.
