Los Angeles-based TCW has hired Jerry Cudzil as Head of U.S. Credit Trading, a new role within the firm. Cudzil will oversee all trading in U.S. corporate and high yield debt on behalf of TCW and MetWest funds and strategies.

Cudzil is based in TCW’s Los Angeles headquarters and started his new post today. He reports to Tad Rivelle, TCW’s chief investment officer for U.S. Fixed Income, and to the generalist portfolio management team, according to a firm spokesman.

He joins TCW from Morgan Stanley, where he was a managing director specializing in trading high-yield debt. Previously, he served as a managing director at Deutsche Bank and at DiMaio Ahmad Capital, where he was co-portfolio manager of two multi-strategy credit funds.
