RBC Nabs 5 from Morgan Stanley

RBC has added a group of five former Morgan Stanley advisors with $758 million in combined assets under management.

The group of Jason Judge, first vice president; Matt Rose, vice president; Ken Ferrarini, senior vice president; Steve Ferrarini, associate vice president; and Scott Leinen, first vice president will bolster the operations of the 12 advisors currently at the Omaha, Neb., office.

According to the branch director Jason Hince, the team was attracted to RBC because of the level of autonomy.

“As part of RBC, we have access to global financial resources and research, but at the same time we can make decisions at a local level without waiting for corporate approval,” Hince said.

Together the group has nearly 115 years of experience. Judge has been in the industry two decades having joined Citigroup in 1993 according to public records with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. Rose joined Citigroup in 1999. Ken Ferrarini has the longest tenure having joined Merrill Lynch in 1973. Steve Ferrarini has 25 years of experience having started at Lehman in 1987, and Leinen began at Citigroup in 1996.

They are joined by three client associates Laura Kolasky, Barbara Essi, and Kelly Blankenship.

The team will report to Dave Nyers, the complex director for the Omaha office.
