Raymond James Lures Morgan Stanley Rep

Raymond James has added former Morgan Stanley advisor John N. Dorsey as senior vice president of investments and branch manager. He’ll be opening a new office in Huntington, W.V., and reporting to Rusty Clark, complex manager for the Great Lakes Division.

“He has a great reputation and exemplifies a deep caring for his clients and their interests, which is totally in line with Raymond James’ values and culture,” Clark said.

Coming to Raymond James with over three decades of experience, Dorsey began his career at E.F. Hutton in 1978 and ended up at Morgan Stanley through a series of mergers. There, he managed more than $215 million in client assets and had more than $800,000 in annual fees and commissions.

Also joining Dorsey from Morgan Stanley is his senior client service associate, Angela Watson.

The two will comprise one of a dozen offices that Raymond James has through its employee broker dealer and independent contractor offices in West Virginia.
