U.S. Bank’s HNW Unit Reaches Out to Healthcare Providers

The Private Client Reserve high-net-worth unit of U.S. Bank is wooing the medical services community.

The unit hired a former executive of the Mayo Clinic Health System to join the healthcare solutions team as vice president and healthcare banking specialist. Kenneth Palattao will work with clinics, doctor’s offices and other medical establishments to help them with their practice and banking needs. He will be based in Minneapolis, the Reserve announced Tuesday.

At the Mayo Clinic, Palattao served as vice president of operations and surgical services. Prior to that, he held positions as executive director of Pediatric Surgical Associates, Ltd., and regional director at Park Nicollet Clinic Health Services. All told, Palattao has more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry, including healthcare acquisitions and consulting, strategic leadership, and management of a variety of medical practices from small primary care clinics to large multi-specialty practices and surgical facilities with multi-million dollar operating budgets.

“He will bring first-hand experience on the day-to-day financial management of a healthcare practice,” the Reserve said in the announcement.
