Heilman reports to Joanie Stringer, managing director of the Washington, D.C., office, which opened in October to snag wealth management business in the area.
Heilman most recently was a senior portfolio manager for U.S. Trust/Bank of America Private Wealth Management and its predecessors in the greater D.C. area. He has 24 years of investment experience and has served entrepreneurs, corporate executives, nonprofit organizations and family entities with complex balance sheets, according to Northern Trust.
Heilman began his investment career at Dimensional Fund Advisors. He served for five years as an officer and trader in the Tokyo and Los Angeles offices of what is now Bank of America. He also worked as a portfolio manger for Banc One Investment Advisors.
