Amy Mathis has joined Advisors Asset Management as a senior vice president in charge of its client relations group. Mathis had been senior vice president and executive director of the Retirement Solutions Group at Lincoln Financial Distributors.

 


 

Neuberger Berman Group has appointed Eli M. Salzman as its managing director and portfolio manager, specializing in U.S. large-cap value equity strategies. Salzman has a long track record in the money management business, having been a partner at Lord, Abbett & Co., where he managed more than $10 billion in large-cap value equity assets. Salzman was at Lord Abbett since 1997 and previously worked at Mutual of America and Mitchell Hutchins Asset Management.

 


 

New York Life made three new hires for its Retirement Income Security (RIS) area. Eileen Sebold and Michael Stern have both joined the company as managing director. Sebold will oversee national relationship management, and Stern will be in charge of national sales. Jason Buck joined the firm as West Coast divisional sales manager.

 


 

The SEC promoted Askari Foy to associate regional director of examinations for the agency's Atlanta regional office. Foy, who joined the SEC in 2004, was a branch chief in the Atlanta office's examination program. In his new position, Foy will direct a staff of about 40 across five southeastern states: Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
