Schwab, Broadridge Launch Mutual Fund Portal

IMPACT 2012 may be over, but Charles Schwab's tech launch spree certainly isn't.

Schwab and Access Data, a Broadridge Financial Solutions-affiliated data management and analysis solutions provider, announced Wednesday a new portal for mutual fund asset and sales data.

Schwab Asset Intelligence provides fund asset and flow, trading and sales data and analysis to RIA, retail, retirement and trust channels. Information is provided on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

Premium reporting, which offers more visibility into how assets are generated and the advisers driving sales, is also available for an additional fee.

“With this partnership and portal, and by leveraging the experience of Access Data, we’re creating a level of visibility that hasn’t previously existed by simplifying the exchange of information between mutual fund families and distributors,” explained Doug Hanson, vice president overseeing third party mutual fund platforms at Schwab, in a company release.

“This new level of information will help [Schwab’s mutual fund providers] better understand their market share, how they rank against other funds, and where they’re gaining more traction and adding new clients," added Gerard Scavelli, president, mutual fund and retirement solutions, of Broadridge.
