Raymond James Lands Million-dollar Merrill Team

Raymond James & Associates has lured away an advisor duo with $1 million in production from Merrill Lynch, just a day after announcing that it recruited a $1 million team from Wells Fargo.

Advisors Thomas Dedrick and Pam Franklin will join Raymond James’ Tuscaloosa, Ala., office. The two advisors managed $162 million in client assets while at Merrill Lynch.

“We are delighted to welcome the Dedrick-Franklin team to Raymond James,” said Tash Elwyn, president of Raymond James’ private client group, in a statement. “Both Thomas and Pam have distinguished themselves over the years as outstanding financial advisors with a commitment to putting their clients’ interests ahead of their own. This focus aligns perfectly with the Raymond James culture and values and we could not be more pleased to have them join our Tuscaloosa office.”

Dedrick, CFP, has more than two decades of experience in the financial services industry. His expertise includes financial planning services for not-for-profit organizations, high-net-worth individuals, professional athletes and business owners. He is a graduate of Morris Brown College in Atlanta where he was inducted into their college football hall of fame.

Franklin, a chartered retirement planning counselor, started her career in 1987 as a certified public accountant. She joined Merrill Lynch as a financial advisor in 2007. She is a graduate of the University of Alabama.
