RBC Nabs Branch Manager from UBS

RBC Wealth Management has bolstered its Denver Tech office with the addition of a branch director from UBS.

The Minneapolis-based firm has hired 30-year industry veteran Robert Magel Jr to oversee the Denver office’s 21 advisors.

“I am pleased to welcome Robert to RBC Wealth Management,” the Denver Complex director, Dan Ball, said in a statement. “His leadership and experience and product knowledge make him an excellent addition to the Denver office.”

Magel was a branch manager and complex manager for UBS. Before that, He also spent time as an advisor at Dean Witter and as a regional manager with Morgan Stanley after the two firms merged.

RBC expanded its presence in Denver last year when it added a Merrill Lynch team with $117 million in assets.

Of its 200 locations in the U.S., RBC has five offices in Colorado.
