Baird recruited two advisors managing about $230 million in combined assets from rival RBC.
Advisors Monty Reedy and Michael Gegen will be joining Baird's Private Wealth Management Group. Reedy will be working from the San Francisco office, where he also will serve as a director. He generated about $1.2 million in revenue while at RBC. Reedy started his career in 1981 with Dean Witter, according to FINRA records.
Gegen generated about $800,000 in revenue while at RBC. He is joining Baird's Denver office. Gegen started his career at Dain Bosworth in 1985, and later worked at Prudential Securities and U.S. Bankcorp Pipper Jaffray, FINRA records show. He joined RBC in 2008.
Milwaukee-based Baird has recruited more than 325 advisors and branch managers since 2009, boosting its advisors force to about 725, according to the firm. In April, Baird acquired a small regional wealth management firm, McAdams Wright Ragen, based in Seattle. The acquisition brought 85 advisors and $10 billion in assets to Baird, which manages more than $100 billion in assets.
