BB&T Grabs Former Ameriprise Advisor

A financial advisor left Ameriprise for a position at regional brokerage firm BB&T Scott & Stringfellow.

Advisor Mayo Woodward brings over 18 years of experience to a newly opened branch in Birmingham, Ala. Before his role as complex manager at BB&T, Woodward worked for Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch and most recently at Ameriprise.

Production and assets under management figures were not immediately available.

“The Birmingham area is a high-growth market with a specific need for sound investment guidance and wealth management for high-net-worth client(s),” said BB&T Scott & Stringfellow private client group senior managing director Mike Owen. “This is a strategic opportunity for our firm to align with our partners at BB&T, to offer clients a comprehensive platform of investment services.”
