Focus Financial Grabs $400M Wells Fargo Team

Two Wells Fargo Advisors who managed $400 million have left the firm to join the Focus Financial Partners network.

Joseph Zappia, principal and managing partner of Zappia Investment Group at Wells, and the firm’s former senior investment advisor, Ted Garofola, will be joining LVW Advisors of Rochester, N.Y., a unit within the Focus network of independent wealth management firms.

Operating as LVW Family Wealth, Zappia and Garofola will provide wealth management and financial planning services to affluent families and family offices, according to a statement from Focus. Services at the new firm will include financial planning, investment advisory, trust and estate planning, tax planning and insurance product sales.

LVW Advisors was launched in 2011 through Focus Connections, a program designed to help wirehouse teams go independent. The firm manages $2 billion in client assets.
