Janney Hires 2 Wells Fargo Advisors

Janney Montgomery Scott has added two Wells Fargo advisors to its Fairfield, Conn. office.

The Philadelphia-based wealth management firm announced late Friday that 30-year industry veteran Michael Lynfield has joined Janney’s Fairfield location in the role of first vice president/investments. Lynfield was senior vice president at Wells Fargo for the past 28 years and is joined at his new practice--called Lynfield Kozik Investment Group--by Mike Kozik, a CFP who spent his eight-year career at Wells Fargo.

George Keith, Janey's senior vice president-complex manager, says Lynfield's client base is split between retail and institutional. Keith adds that since Lynfield attended boarding school in London he has developed some solid European contacts over the years.

"It's a great pickup," says Keith. "We gain one very experienced guy and one CFP."

Lynfield was previously based in Wells Fargo's Westport, Conn. office from November 2005 to June 2014, according to BrokerCheck. He also worked for Wachovia Securities, First Union Capital Markets Corp. and Butcher & Singer, all Wells Fargo legacy companies. His career also included a brief stint at Advest from August 2004 to December 2005 before the Hartford-based brokerage was acquired by Merrill Lynch.
